Puppies |

At this moment we don't have any puppies. We hope to have our Grace bred her next heat. We don't know her mate yet... Otherwise we'll just wait until Jake is old enough to breed her. Very exciting litter born on the 20th of March 2008: Our lovely girl Spice and I flew all the way to Seattle, United States to have her bred to the gorgeous Int'l CH, CKC Ch. Mistretta's Bear Named Balou STDs STDsc DNA-VP. 10 puppies were born: 9.20 black
tri male, Olympic Bear (Bear), after his father Bear, and Olympia and
of course the gorgeous Olympic mountains. The lovely couple in the States... Very pregnant... And our Easter present! What did we do with our pups? They are used to a crate, they are potty trained, they did hikes in the forest together with all our other dogs, they joined me to the dog training school everyday, they've seen at least 300 people and lots of children, they met our sheep, ducks, chicken, rabbits, cats, played with children, joined me to the youth jail three days and played with the children in the jail, went through the agility tunnel, played with a bunch of little puppies in our puppy classes, met our little tractor, our mower, heard a lot of noises, heard motor cycles, cars, saw bikes, strollers, wheel chairs, etc. They are a gorgeous and very open bunch of puppies. The Australian shepherd club was here to take a look at the litter, they were chipped, dewormed, they were frontlined against ticks and fleas, we went to the vet and they made a complete mess of his room. They were tested on temperaments and their eyes were checked. They all left us, except for our own Grace and Jackson came back to us at the age of 1 year. Rio is living in far away Finland on a gorgeous farm, a bunch stayed close by and Amazing Grace will stay with us. I will miss them very much.... and I extremely enjoyed this wonderful litter. 8 weeks

Spice x Burning Bonfire pups were born on the 29th of November 2006! (all puppies have new owners). Spice had her second litter on the 29th of November 2006. She delivered 10 puppies, but unfortunately one puppy was not alive when he was born. However, the other 9 are doing fine. We have 6 blue merles (3 males and 3 females) and 3 black tris (2 males and 1 female). The father of the puppies is BISS VDH CH. Burning Bonfire BH. Gettin' Jiggy And some pictures with all my other dogs in the woods Our puppies grow up on our farm in Beerzerveld. All our Aussies live in the house and of course we have the whelping box in the living room. The pups sleep in the living room until they leave us at the age of 8 weeks. We have a dog training school at our farm, so from the age of 4 weeks the pups are in the coffee room at the dog training school whenever I am working. They see at least 200 people and 200 dogs a week, we socialize them with our own sheep, chickens and ducks, the pups join me in my car everyday, I take them to the forest for small walks, they live in my pack of dogs, they are bench trained and house trained when they leave us. I take them to the shopping centre one by one, etc. etc. Because the Aussie is pretty sensitive for noises, I do a lot of efforts to socialize them with noises and also with strange objects. Socialization in general is very, very important from the age of 4 weeks for Aussies! At the age of 7 weeks we do a puppytest. With this puppytest, what we see in the litter ourselves and what the puppy buyer wants we make the final decision which pup goes where. We do not work with a waiting list: our pups go to the best people and it's definitely not first come first serve... or "I want an Aussie with two blue eyes". If you are seriously interested in an Aussie puppy from Somethin' Spicy, just let us know and come visit us, call or mail us! |
